Cooking has always been more than just a skill for me; it's been a lifelong passion. My journey began when I was just a curious three-year-old, watching my mother and grandmother create magic in the kitchen. By the age of five, I was eagerly assisting my grandmother, finding peace and joy in the art of cooking. As I grew older, my dream was to become a chef, but life had other plans. My father had already set the path for me to become an engineer, and out of love and respect for him, I followed that path, setting aside my true passion.
Everything seemed fine until the world was turned upside down by the pandemic. The company where I worked went into a financial crisis and, like many others, I lost my job. I tried to start over with new companies, but just three months into a new role, I suffered a severe accident. I was hospitalized for a month, and during that time, the company reduced my salary by half. It was a devastating period. The very moment when I needed financial support for my treatment and to care for my family back in Nadin Kurmiyan village, I was left with less than what was needed.
It was then that I realized I had sacrificed my passion for a career that, in the end, left me with nothing but heartache. In the face of adversity, I decided to take a leap of faith. I left my job and returned to my true love—cooking. I began this journey with a small food stall, wanting to see how people would react to my food before investing more heavily. I was unsure at first about what to serve, but the craze for momos around me inspired me to start with them.
I had never made momos before, so I turned to YouTube for recipes. From day one, people loved what I made. But I wasn't satisfied with just good—I wanted exceptional. I reached out to some Nepali people nearby to learn the authentic way to make momos, and it was good, but I knew I could do better. I started experimenting with fusion spices from different cultures, creating a momo recipe like no other. The result was something truly unique and exceptionally delicious. Those who tasted it said they had tried momos everywhere, but mine stood out—unlike anything they had ever tasted.
"Success isn’t just about overcoming obstacles; it’s about finding the strength to pursue what you love, even when the world says otherwise. True success is born from passion, perseverance, and the courage to create something extraordinary."
